Lamberi is a large village situated on the Jammu – Poonch highway, 100 km from Jammu. Fr.Joseph Uppumakkal was the pioneer missionary of Lamberi. He purchased a plot in 1993. He first got acquainted with the people by visiting their families and starting coaching classes for their children in the small ashram building that he built.
