- LITTLE FLOWER ASHRAM
Thaliparamba is a growing town and a link to the Christian settlements at Alakode, Chemberi, Perumpadavu and Naduvil. It is also a business center for the remote villagers. However, for a long time, there was no church at Thaliparamba. Fr. Aurelius Kadampuzha, the then regional superior, purchased 34 acres of land near Thaliparamba on the Alakode Road. In 1966, a property of one acre was purchased. The property came with a house which was converted into an ashram. Fr. Sabinus was appointed the first superior. Later, a parish church was built on the land with Fr.Barthalomew as its vicar. The members of the ashram attended to the spiritual needs of the neighbouring parishes also. People from distant places used to come to the ashram for confession and spiritual help. When the diocese built a church in the town in 1991, the parish was shifted from the ashram to the town church. The ashram donated nearly two acres of land for constructing a cemetery for the parish.
