At the initiative of Fr. Justin Koyipuram a psycho-social residential rehabilitation center, Ashraya, was started in 1997. It helps persons who have undergone treatment for mental disorders.Ashraya was turned into a holistic counselling centre with an additional building on the premises. Fr. Mathew Kulappuram works full time as a counsellor and the centre has literally become a solace for the distressed and for couples. The Jesus Youth periodically organises sessions under Fr. Mathew’s spiritual guidance.
