Fr. John Thonippara bought an acre of land a kilometre away from Begur town, while he was Superior of Chavara Bhavan,Gundlupet. On this land, Fr. Chacko Puthukulangara started a nursery school in 1998 which the CMC sisters helped him run.The charge of the school passed on to Fr. SunnyKannamkulam a year after. At this time he was Superior of Chavara Bhavan,Gundlupet. The school which later came to be called Little Flower School continued to function at this location and grew to have classes up to Std II.The school needed more land and facilities as it grew. To meet this need, while Joseph Mattam was provincial, Fr. Sunny bought another five acres of land in Begur town. Fr. Sunny took the lead in overseeing the construction of a new school building that had three storeys and 15 rooms on this land. Little Flower School was shifted to this location and he continued to manage the school while discharging his duties as director of Jodale Farm, Madahally, Gundlupet.

In 2003 Fr. Sunny moved back to Chavara Bhavan as Superior even as Fr. Kurian Kizhakkemalil arrived there. The latter stayed at Gundlupet and went to work at the school. By October that year, he set up base in a classroom of the school and in January 2004 took charge of the school. Fr. Kurian’s effort in developing the school was truly commendable. In May 2005 Fr. Thomas Kazhunnady was appointed as director and he stayed at the old school as there was no residence as yet for the fathers.In 2008, with financial aid from the Koch Foundation, Fr.Francis Thonippara, the then Provincial, laid the foundation stone for the construction of a residence. Fr. Joseph Mattam supervised and managed the construction of the residence. Upon its completion in in December 2008, the residence was blessed by Fr. Francis Thonippara. Fr. Saji Kizhakkenputhupallil, who had started to work at the school the previous year, took over as director in 2009. In 2011,Fr. Mathew Manikathazhe took charge.The school currently has classes upto Std VII in the Kannada state stream. A total of 970 students attend the school. Hostel facilities for a limited number of students are also available at the school.
